Admission Details – 8th Class

Introduction Main entry to the college is in 8th class. The bulk of seats are offered to the sons of the army personnel only, against their specified quota. However, a limited number of seats are available for the sons of remaining categories of defence services personnel and civilians to compete on open merit. There are 116 seats in each entry.

  • Affiliation The College is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Islamabad.
  • Eligibility
  • The students studying in class VII or VIII. However the candidate must have passed class VII at the time of admission to the College.
  • Should be between 12 and 14 years of age on 1st April of the year of admission. (Waiver up to 90 days is admissible).
  • The candidates must be medically FIT.
  • Only male can apply.
  • Ineligibility
  • Withdrawn from any Armed Forces/ Provincial Govts’ cadet colleges on discp/ character.
  • Overage/ Underage.
  • Declared Medically unfit by Med Board.
  • Submitting Tampered Certs/ Documents.
  • Concealment of Info in Application Form.
  • FEMALE candidates can not apply.

Criteria/ Categories Who can Apply

  • Wards of Army Officers /JCOs / Soldiers
  • Offrs, JCOs/Sldrs seeking admission for their sons must have served for at least 10 years in Pakistan Army. However, Offrs, JCOs/Sldrs who have been invalidated out of svc for reasons attributable to mil svc, will be entitled to apply for the admission of their sons irrespective of their svc duration.
  • Children of pers serving/ retd in permanently activated Mjd Bns are treated at par with Army Personnel (Offrs, JCOs/ Sldrs) for admission.
  • A limited number of seats for the wards of civilians are reserved for admission in MCJ.
  • Wards of Defence Personnel (PAF, PN, MES, and other paid out of Def Estimates) 
  • These will be taken as Civilians.

Online Submission Of Applications

      The College has launched “Online Submission of Applications” system from August 2016 to facilitate the desirous applicants. By using the system, applicants have to fill the application form online. Following procedure is adopted for submission of online applications:-

  • First of all, create an account at our website. Upon successful creation of the account, you will receive a username and password in your personal email immediately. (Try to use only Gmail as POP3 emails are returned back.)
  • Login at our website with the username and password you received.
  • Fill the online form and submit it, after verifying your information.
  • After the submission of your form, you will see a “Fee Challan Form“. Download and print the challan form to pay your fee in any HBL branch in Pakistan.
  • After the payment of fee, your fee will be verified by the College and the roll no slip will be enabled in your online account at our website. You have to download it and take print. You have to bring the same at your exam center.
    (Note that the College will not post roll no slip to any candidate).
  • Entries in the Online Application Form must be based on correct information. All entries will be subject to scrutiny and verification. False information by a candidate noticed at any stage of his stay at the college, will render him liable to disciplinary action / withdrawal with payment of training charges.
  • The last date for submission of online application form is advertised through the press and website in June / July (8th Class) each year.

Application for Admission in VIII Class against COAS Quota

Dear candidates, applications for Admission in VIII class against COAS Quota should reach before the conduct of Entry Test every year. The College entertains only the applications received through COAS Secretariat GHQ, Rawalpindi. Applications sent directly to the College will not be considered.

Selection Procedure

The selection is based on candidate’s performance / grading in the following:-

  • Written test (MCQs & Subjective) from Class V to Class VII (Punjab Textbook Board)
  • Intelligence Test
  • Interview
  • Medical Examination at concerned Military Hospital Examination (CMH)

Written Test The written test is given in the following subjects:-

  • English
  • Mathematics and General Science
  • Urdu and Islamiat (Pakistan Studies for non-Muslims)

Intelligence & Interview

Candidates who qualify the written test, are called for the intelligence test / interview at the following stations:-

Medical Examination

Candidates who qualify intelligence test and interview are issued with letter for medical examination at CMH concerned.

Application for Admission in VIII Class against COAS Quota

Applications for Admission in VIII class against COAS Quota should reach before the conduct of Entry Test every year. The College entertains only the applications received through COAS Secretariat GHQ, Rawalpindi. Applications sent directly to the College will not be considered. Wards of Shuhada and ISD are considered in subject quota and their result are prepared separately.

Final Selection

  • The Final Selection is made on the overall merit achieved by the candidate in the written test, interview, intelligence test and medical fitness. Mere passing the test does not entitle a candidate to admission.
  • Results are confidential. Answer scripts, marks obtained, merit or position obtained will not be shown to parents / guardians. Any correspondence in this regard will not be entertained.

Note
Candidates have to deposit attested copies of documents: CORO, Unit Part II Order (for Army Officers, JCOs/NCOs/Sldrs) and Form B at the time of interview.
